New paper from TNU published!

The protein TDP-43 is involved in different neurodegenerative diseases, and Åsa Petersén and Sofia Bergh have investigated whether the protein harms the hypothalamus. Investigating if augmenting the quantity of the protein TDP-43 in the hypothalamus would lead to changes in the hypothalamus, emotional changes and metabolic problems was the aim of the new article from the TNU research group.Read mo

Petersén guest editor of Journal of Huntington's Disease

Åsa Petersén and Mahmoud A Pouladi are guest editors of the Special Issue: Glia and non-neuronal cells in Huntington's disease that was published now in August. Petersén will give a talk on her work on Huntington disease at a symposium on neurodegenerative disorders at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada on September 8, 2025. Visit by the European Huntington Association

When in Sweden for their annual meeting, members of the European Huntington Association paid a visit to Lund on 28 August 2025. There they met with Åsa Petersén and Camilla Svensson, registered nurse, also working at the HD Clinic at Skåne University Hospital (SUS) in Lund, together with Åsa. Sofia Bergh will present poster at TDP-43 conference

On 9-11 September 2025 the Arturo Falaschi Conference “2nd biennial conference on TDP-43 function and dysfunction in disease” will be held in Trieste, Italy.
