A low-jitter frequency synthesizer with dynamic phase interpolation for high-speed Ethernet
A frequency synthesizer applied to 1000Base-T Ethernet transceiver as well as 10/100Base-T mode is described. A dynamic voltage-mode phase interpolator is used and a more precise analysis and calculation on degressive interpolating resistors are given. The design not only meets the transmitter's requirement of very accurate rising (falling) edge control but also offers much finer time-interval clo

Iran’s Nuclear Behavior: The Gender Dimension
In a nutshell, Iran’s nuclear dignity is predominantly of a masculine nature. While this holds true about many other nation-states and their foreign policy practices in today’s world, Western negotiators will be well advised to take these nuances into account and refrain from using a frame of reference in the talks that may undermine this particular type of identity. More specifically, the choice

Towards Integration of Product and Packaging Development
Increased efficiency and effectiveness in the product development process can be expected to result from extending the product development process to inciude the concurrent development of product and packaging. In this paper, the findings from three surveys performed in the Swedish mechanical, pharmaceutical and food industries by Bramklev, Bjärnemo and Jönson (2001 and 2003) are complemented wit
Power system damping in Iceland based on phasor measurements
Phasor measurement signals are used as only input to a wide-area power system stabilizer to increase interarea mode damping of the Icelandic system. Modal analysis and time simulations of a detailed model show that frequency difference as PSS input gives a damping improvement that is robust to drastic changes in system topology. Field data from phasor measurement units indicate high signal quality
Haptic access to 3D objects on the web
Making a web browser haptically accessible, makes it possible also for visually impaired persons to access graphical properties such as the layout of a web browser. With haptic interaction, it will also be possible to access 3D objects (VRML or X3D fil
Halomonas species as a source of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate). Preparation of hydrophilic macroporous polymer scaffolds
Popular Abstract in English This thesis presents studies on moderately halophilic bacteria belonging to the family Halomonadaceae that accumulate polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) in high amounts when grown under conditions of nitrogen limitation. Energitjänster på en avreglerad marknad. För en effektivare energianvändning?
This thesis studies the efforts made by society to achieve more efficient energy use in order to better utilise resources and lessen the stress on the environment. Despite the value to society promised by more efficient energy use, too few attempts are made at realising this value. One instrument available to governments in their efforts to stimulate efficiency schemes, is to encourage energy comp
