Efter drygt ett år bakom byggstängsel står nu Gamla lungkliniken (Hus G) färdig och fin i ny kostym. I augusti fylls huset av sociologer, genusvetare och socialantropologer. Årets doktorspromotion ägde rum i slutet av maj – i år med rekordmånga deltagare. För Pekka Idman var det andra gången han deltog. Han promoverades 1974 och nu - 50 år senare - var det dags att utnämnas till jubeldoktor. Efter disputationen 1974 har Pekka hunnit med mycket. Fakultetens lokalprojekt Campus Paradis kommer nu att breddas och innefatta campusutveckling i en bredare bemärkelse. Den nya projektplanen behandlas på fakultetsstyrelsens junimöte. Nu färdigställs Gamla lungkliniken inför inflyttningen om ett par veckor. Det är full aktivitet när möbler monteras, flyttlådor bärs in och de sista inredningsdetaljerna fixas. Den 19 augusti flyttar Sociologiska institutionen och Genusvetenskapliga institutionen in.

Bland fakultetens forskare finns ett stort behov av ett bra verktyg för att transkribera ljud- och videofiler. Vid Institutionen för Psykologi har man börjat använda ett sådant verktyg som är både effektivt och som håller sig inom rådande etikregler.
