GIS-centrum ställer upp med gratis rådgivning i GIS-frågor till personer verksamma inom Lunds universitet. Rådgivningen kan t.ex. gälla datatillgång, val av GIS-programvara, möjligheter och utbildningsinsatser. Även externa intressenter är välkomna med frågor till GIS-centrum. Vi ser positivt på ett ökat samarbete med andra universitet och högskolor samt organisationer utanför universitetsvärlden.

Data från svenska myndigheterLunds universitet har tecknat avtal som ger tillgång till smidig nedladdning av geografisk data (geodata) från ett flertal myndigheter i Sverige. Närmare bestämt Lantmäteriet, Sveriges geologiska undersökning, SGU, Statistiska centralbyrån, SCB, Sjöfartsverket och Trafikverket. Avtalet gäller användning inom icke kommersiell forskning och/eller formell undervisning.B

BakgrundStrax före och efter andra världskriget flygfotograferades bl.a. Skåne av dåvarande Lantmäteriverket. I och med krigsutbrottet lades projektet på is vilket medförde ett glapp i fotograferingstid mellan olika delar av Skåne.
