For students with 90 credits in history or a related subject, with a bachelor’s thesis, who want to understand how digitalisation affects the subject of history and want to develop methodological skills in digital history. The course can be a free-standing course at advanced level, or be included in the Master’s program in Historical Studies and the Master’s program in Film and Media History.
This course will give you in-depth knowledge of digitalisation and its consequences for how the past is made available, preserved and analysed. The course focuses on research practices and on the sharing of digital cultural heritage data. Emphasis is placed on the changing conditions for historical research and the communication of history to a wider audience. The language of instruction is English.

För tillträde till kursen krävs 90 högskolepoäng, inklusive examensarbete, i historia, idé- och lärdomshistoria, mediehistoria, mänskliga rättigheter, filmvetenskap, religionshistoria, historisk antropologi, ekonomisk historia, Europakunskap, genusvetenskap med historisk inriktning, statsvetenskap med historisk inriktning eller annat ämne med historisk inriktning, eller motsvarande kunskaper.
