Innovative cleaning protocols for the dairy industry

Industrial dairy membrane processes require frequent cleaning due to hygienic and regulatory demands and lowered efficiency, caused by fouling. This decreases the membrane life cycle and consumes large volumes of rinsing water and cleaning solution. Therefore, the aim of this project is to increase the understanding of membrane fouling and cleaning and to apply this knowledge to develop more ener

Numerical study of simple shear dense granular flow of frictional elongated and flattened particles

Non-spherical particles play a crucial role in industrial and geological flows, however, a comprehensive description of their rheology as a function of inertial number and asphericity remains incomplete. In this study, we examine the influence of particle shape using spheroidal particles through simulations of simple shear flow under Lees-Edwards boundary conditions, focusing on the dense flow reg

Sound Environment Centre

The Sound Environment Centre at Lund University advances interdisciplinary research on sound as a phenomenon, as well as sound worlds and environments. As a university-wide hub, it initiates, drives, and coordinates research, raises awareness of sound’s impact on health and well-being, and fosters dialogue and collaboration within academia and with society at large. Clear Delegation or Residual Accountability in Swedish Corporate Governance

This paper investigates distribution of decision rights and responsibilities between boards of directors and CEOs with a particular focus on allocation of residual control rights. In the studied firms, the board reserves residual control rights, stating that all major decisions are to reach the board. However, the CEO is authorized to make decisions on urgent matters if the board cannot be heard w

The Politics of Publics

This research explores the politics of publics to understand consumer resistance to sportswashing on digital platforms. Drawing on Mouffe’s agonistic pluralism and Latour’s matters-of-concern, we analyze Twitter data to unveil how consumers navigate moral quandaries, sleepy resistance, and polarizing re-action. The study contributes to knowledge on publics and macro-level resistance.

This paper addresses the time-optimal path-tracking problem for redundant manipulators. By integrating path-velocity control into existing task-space robot controllers, the task-space motion can be dynamically scaled to satisfy the torque constraint under both kinematic and dynamic uncertainties. Numerical simulations and experiments demonstrate that trajectory feasibility and path-tracking accura
