Investigation on cutting fluid use in finish milling of polylactide (PLA) 3D-printed parts

Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) is an additive manufacturing process based on Material Extrusion (MEX) of polymeric filament. This manufacturing technology is commonly used for personalized production applications and prototyping, allowing to obtain customized parts with complex geometries at a low cost. However, this production technique has its limitations regarding dimensional accuracy and sur

Tracking the Reinstatement of Semantic and Emotional Information during Episodic Memory Retrieval

Retrieving episodic memories often involves reconstructing both their semantic content and the emotional context in which they occurred. However, the neural mechanisms that differentiate these forms of reinstatement remain poorly understood. This event-related potential (ERP) study examines how semantic category and emotional valence are reinstated during memory retrieval.Seventy participants enco

The prefabricated gift : 300 Swedish houses in Bornholm

From June to November 1945, over 70 shipments of flat-packed architectural elements arrived at the harbours of Nexø and Rønne on the Danish island Bornholm. The shipments consisted of prefabricated interior fixtures and ready-to-be mounted walls. The Danish municipality prepared infrastructure, named new roads, and within a year, 300 wooden houses were assembled on site. What do we know about software analytics research? : A critical review of secondary studies

Software analytics (SA) is often proposed as a tool to support software engineering (SE) tasks. Several secondary studies on SA have been published, some published within the same calendar year. This presents an opportunity to take a meta-perspective and examine how the field of SA has been conceptualized and synthesized so far. By analyzing how SA is defined, which topics are emphasized, what sea

QUANTIFYING UNCERTAINTY IN INSAR-DERIVED DISPLACEMENT MEASUREMENTS FOR BRIDGE MONITORING

Bridge monitoring is essential for ensuring their long-term safety, reducing disruptions, and supporting economic and social activities. Traditional monitoring techniques rely on periodic inspections and contact-based sensing systems, which, while effective, have limitations due especially to high installation and maintenance costs. Satellite-based Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) o

Building performance analysis at the design stage: : A study into the challenges of BIM and BEM integration in the Swedish AEC industry

Despite efforts to integrate BIM and BEM, challenges persist, including incomplete data, errors, and the need for manual corrections, all hindering the implementation of sustainable building designs. Professionals in the Swedish architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry have yet to fully adopt standardized practices for exchanging BIM and BEM data. This article explores the challe

Attacking Single-Cycle Ciphers on Modern FPGAs : Featuring Explainable Deep Learning

In this paper, we revisit the question of key recovery using side-channel analysis for unrolled, single-cycle block ciphers. In particular, we study the Princev2 cipher. While it has been shown vulnerable in multiple previous studies, those studies were performed on side-channel friendly ASICs or older FPGAs (e.g., Xilinx Virtex II on the SASEBO-G board), and using mostly expensive equipment. We s

A Geometry-Based ISAC Channel Model for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Scenarios

The integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) technique has recently gained significant attention in both academic and industrial sectors, as it can provide both sensing and communication functions using the same transmission and frequency spectrum. In this paper, a geometrically based statistical ISAC channel model for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) scenario is established, based on the ray tracing s
