Boundary-Informed Sound Field Reconstruction

We consider the problem of reconstructing the sound field in a room using prior information of the boundary geometry, represented as a point cloud. In general, when no boundary information is available, an accurate sound field reconstruction over a large spatial region and at high frequencies requires numerous microphone measurements. On the other hand, if all geometrical and acoustical aspects of

THE ROLE OF NARRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY WITHIN HYBRID INTELLIGENCE

This paper examines the emerging concept of hybrid intelligence, the collaboration between humans and AI, and its growing importance in sensemaking processes across diverse organizational contexts. While hybrid intelligence offers significant potential for progress, the integration of responsibility into this collaborative framework remains a crucial challenge. Current research often explores huma

Performance analysis for cone-preserving switched systems with constrained switching

This paper studies cone-preserving linear discrete-time switched systems whose switching is governed by an automaton. For this general system class, we present performance analysis conditions for a broadly usable performance measure. In doing so, we generalize several known results for performance and stability analysis for switched and positive switched systems, providing a unifying perspective.

Lifting with colourful sunflowers

We show that a generalization of the DAG-like query-to-communication lifting theorem, when proven using sunflowers over non-binary alphabets, yields lower bounds on the monotone circuit complexity and proof complexity of natural functions and formulas that are better than previously known results obtained using the approximation method. These include an nΩ(k) lower bound for the clique function up

Geophysical and hydrogeological monitoring of infiltration processes in an artificial recharge pond

To secure sufficient, clean, and reliable drinking water amidst climate change, evolving land use, and population growth, artificial infiltration ponds are essential tools for drinking water providers in many areas. Optimizing their operation requires a detailed understanding of infiltration processes and subsurface water transport dynamics. At a Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) facility in southern

Protocol for development of SPIRIT and CONSORT extensions for reporting climate and environmental outcomes in randomised trials (SPIRIT-ICE and CONSORT-ICE)

Introduction The WHO has declared climate change the defining public health challenge of the 21st century. Incorporating climate and environmental outcomes in randomised trials is essential for enhancing healthcare treatments’ sustainability and safeguarding global health. To implement such outcomes, it is necessary to establish a framework for unbiased and transparent planning and reporting. We a
