Influence of the design of Ti (C, N)-based cermets with alternative binders on their performance and wear in milling
Ti (C, N) based cermet materials are predominantly used in continuous finishing applications of metal cutting due to their high hardness, excellent resistance to oxidation and high chemical stability. However, their application in interrupted cutting like milling are limited due to their brittle-like failure due to low fracture toughness. In this work, alternative binder systems such as Co-Ni and
