Structural Analysis of the Roof Structure in the Reformed Church
The purpose of this Master’s thesis is to find and illustrate the behaviour of the roof structure of the Reformed Church in Copenhagen, Denmark. Explanatory visualisation results in an enhancement of the understanding of the statical behaviour. The introduction of the report contains the building history of the Reformed Church. A restoration took place in 1987 and our Danish supervisor was part o

Kompositmaterials hygro-mekaniska egenskaper
In this report the behaviour of paper reinforced plastics known as High Pressure Laminates, HPL, is studied. The material is regarded as anisotropic. Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio, shear modulus and the in-plane moisture elongations are measured. Calculation of moisture induced deformations and forces are carried out, both for beam and plate theory.

Analys av teleskopspegel för ett "Extremely Large Telescope"
This master’s thesis describes methods of calculating deformations of large astronomical telescope mirrors caused by the mirror support system. In the first part of the report these calculation methods are derived, along with methods of optimizing a support system pattern. Both analytical and numerical methods are described in the case of deformation analysis, and methods based on probabilistic me
Skattning av en akvifers hydrauliska egenskaper med stokastisk FEM. Med exempel från Malmöområdet
The purpose of this Master’s thesis has been to establish a method with which the stochastic field for the hydraulic conductivity within an aquifer can be determined. The stochastic field is characterised by the mean value and the standard deviation of the hydraulic conductivity together with a selected statistical distribution and the correlation between different points within the aquifer. The a
