This is the very first and indispensable of formal steps for the PhD defence, and should be done by the PhD student. Although the clear deadline is unclear at the moment, most likely it should be a month or more prior to the registration of the defence – meaning that, it should most likely be done 4 months or more before your PhD defence from autumn 2020 onwards. While the PhD student prepares for the defence, the PhD administrator makes various logistical arrangement to ensure the smooth defence process.The chairperson should make sure to obtain from the PhD administrator, the document to be filled in by the three examination committee members after the defence.
