My research interest lies at the intersections of social, political, legal, and economic history, from the 18th century to the present. I am particularly interested in inheritance, property, and family, and how these are intertwined in various contexts. Between 2020 and 2025, I directed three research projects on inheritance and testamentary practices among the Swedish nobility, as well as on entails (fideikommiss). From 2025, I lead two new projects: GeneaoLogies of Old Wealth (GLOW), funded by the Swedish Research Council, which examines wealth and inheritance within the Swedish economic elite between 1850 and 1950, and The Geography of Wealth, funded by the Handelsbanken Research Foundations, which analyses wealth and inequality in Sweden and Finland around 1800. Together with Matteo Pompermaier I lead the research node HEIRS.

Previously, I have conducted research in agrarian history and family history, presented in two monographs on family farms and sibling households.
