The Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology | Lund University

Doctoral student vacancies at the Faculty of the Humanities (of which Human Rights Studies are a part) are usually advertised once a year in January-February. All openings are advertised here, where you will also find instructions on how to apply.

Please note that we do not advertise openings unless we have funding for them and that we do not admit students onto our Doctoral programme without a prior announcement. In 2017 we are unfortunately unable to accept any new doctoral students, due to lack of funding. Whether the will be any openings on the Human rights Doctoral programme in 2018 is still an open question.

The general syllabus for the Doctoral programme in Human Rights Studies, including specifications of what we require for eligibility for the programme is here: (PDF). Be advised that you need to have a Master’s degree in a relevant field of study in order to be eligible and that admission is highly competitive.
