Bachelor programme in Human Rights Studies

Our multidisciplinary Bachelor programme in Human Rights Studies is taught only in Swedish.

Read about our international Master programme here.

The three-year Bachelor programme addresses international, regional, and national human rights challenges. Our teaching is grounded in current issues and we study themes from non-discrimination and equal treatment to violence and accountability.

Human rights are a political practice, a legal structure, a moral-political norm, and a philosophical idea. We study human rights in all this complexity. Through a combination of historical, philosophical, political, and legal perspectives our students develop an understanding of and an analytical approach to human rights as they figure in the world today.

The Bachelor programme offers opportunity for internship and exchange studies in Sweden or abroad.
